JAW: A Playwrights Festival
The 17th annual festival by Portland Center Stage features four new staged readings and performances by Susannah Mars and Merideth Kaye Clark, Eowyn Emerald and Dancers, The Seseisiunists, SubRosa Dance Collective, Stumptown Clown Productions and POPgoji. Therell also be Community Artists Labs put on by JAW Festival Director Rose Riordan and playwrights that explore character creation, devised theater and directing for staged readings. The featured playwrights are Adam Szymkowicz (Colchester), Jen Silverman (Wink), Boo Killebrew (Miller, Mississippi) and James Presson (Long Division).

Comedy nights
Funny Over Everything returns to the stage, featuring headliner James Davis, as well as David Mascorro, Caitlin Weiehauser and Phil Schallberger, hosted by Sean Jordan. Yosegaki Hinomaru
The Oregon Nikkei Legacy Centers new exhibition, Yosegaki Hinomaru: Souvenir, Heirloom or Art? features antiques from 70 years ago, when the U.S. and Japan were at war. Rex and Keiko Ziak of Obon 2015 are the curators of the exhibit.
