‘Live Wire Radio’

The season for the radio/stage variety show debuts with actor Bruce Campbell, actress/comedian Nicole Byer and mountaineer Colin O’Brady at the Alberta Rose Theatre. Shows take place at various venues, including also at Alberta Rose on Sept. 29, Oct. 13 and Nov. 17.

‘Full Gallop’

Triangle Productions begins its 27th season with the Mary Louise Wilson/Mark Hampton play about Diana Vreeland, who stoood at the center of American style for five decades as the editor of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue magazines and a member of the International Cafe Society. Margie Boule, who played Tallulah Bankhead in last season’s “Looped!,” plays Vreeland. It’s directed by Donald Horn.

Action/Adventure Theatre

The company puts on a new serialized comedy to open its 10th season, “All’s Faire,” Sept. 15-Oct. 9 at Action/Adventure Theater, 1050 S.E. Clinton St. It’s about put-upon Renaissance Faire employees. Also, the second season of serialized comedy “Star Work” also begins, telling the story of the crew members of Griffin 23J as they travel through a bureacratic galaxy, Sept. 15-Oct. 9. Animation Film Festival

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry celebrates the world of animation, from shorts to films and entertaining and provocative programming from creative artists. There’ll be an appearance by Laika Studio’s 18-foot-tall stop-motion skeleton puppet. Highlights are “Kubo and the Two Strings” short (Thursday), “Finding Dory” (Friday), “Coraline 3D” (Saturday) and “Fantastic Mr. Fox” (Sunday).
