Hughie
Imago Theatre will present the Eugene ONeill one-act play about small-time hustler Erie, who sees magic in the mundane and delivers a series of tales to the new night clerk, Charlie, after the death of his closest companion, Hughie, another night clerk. Through Hughies eyes, Erie saw greatness in himself, but his luck has disappeared. Jason Robards, Ben Gazzara, Al Pacino and Forest Whitaker have formerly played the role of Erie. Jerry Mouawad directs and Todd Van Vorls plays the lead role.

Trevor
The Artists Repertory Theatre season opens with the award-winning tragicomedy inspired by true events about a chimpanzee adopted into a human family trying to revive his showbiz career, written by Nick Jones (Orange Is the New Black) and directed by Damaso Rodriguez, Artists Rep artistic director. There have been four performances already added in October. John San Nicholas plays the chimp, Trevor, and Sarah Lucht plays his mom, Sandra. In conjunction with the play, the Geezer Gallery will present Reverie, an exhibition highlighting the comedy, tragedy and magical realism illustrated in the performance through visual representation.

Shanghai Acrobats of the Peoples Republic of China
