Wizard World Comic Con Portland welcomes William Shatner as the most notable celebrity for the three-day event in Portland, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 19 to 21, at Oregon Convention Center, 777 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
And it boldly goes where it hasnt gone before in Portland, bringing in the Wizard World Gaming series for the first time. Attendees will be playing in video game tournaments and eSports competitions for prize pools, and theyll get to meet gaming movers and shakers, attend developer panels, sample demos and interact with likeminded Pacific Northwest fans.
The gaming series had been scheduled to debut at Atlanta last month, before it had to be postponed for logistical reasons. Therell be more simultaneous events throughout the Wizard World Comic Con schedule. (For info: wizard worldgaming.com).

The Wizard World Comic Con has been a hit in Portland, for fans of pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.
Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21. (For more, see www.wizardworld.com).
Shatner, forever known as Captain Kirk from the original Star Trek and movies, and later from Boston Legal, headlines the Portland show.

Darvill, Kingston, Morrison and Barrowman are scheduled to attend on Saturday and Sunday, Shatner will attend Friday night and Saturday, and Smith will appear on Saturday only.

Therell also be creative comic artists and writers making appearances.
The three-day pass is $79.95 in advance ($90 on-site). Daily admissions are $39.95/$50 Friday, $49.95/$60 Saturday and $44.95/$55 Sunday.
