Faithful viewers of the supernatural police show Grimm, filmed in Portland, will be tuning in Friday night to see another plot twist as the series resumes at 9 p.m. on NBC.
Bitsie Tulloch, who played Detective Nick Burkhardts love interest, Juliette, before becoming a Hexenbiest and then (presumably) being killed by Trubel, returns as the super-powered Eve in Season 5.
I feel really blessed. How often do you get to play multiple characters on a TV show? Tulloch says. Im grateful to the writers.
Juliette had been so consistently good and thoughtful and helpful for so long, if anyone was going to turn and be so bad and evil, it should be her. It was hard to say goodbye to Juliette, but Im having a blast with this new character, Eve.
So, now that Burkhardt (played by David Giuntoli) has seemingly moved on from Juliette, because Juliette helped kill his mother, their romance seems to be history. Although Tulloch says an upcoming episode has a segment where Nick and Eve talk about their past, it remains to be seen whether she still has feelings for him (theyre actually dating in real life). Basically, Eve became a fighting machine after being hit by a tranquilizer dart from Trubel and became part of Hadrians Wall, which now will fight the Wesen uprising called Black Claw.
After four episodes not on the show, Tulloch says producers kept her characters return secret, not allowing her to attend ComicCon events and hiding her during filming. She even had her cast chair taken away and name taken off her trailer on the set. She returned on the previous episode before the holiday break. Everyone was really taking it seriously, she says.
The Bachelor update
Our local contestant, West Linns Lauren Bushnell, aka Lauren B, stayed alive after The Bachelor, the remaining women and Ben Higgins visited Las Vegas in the fourth show that aired Monday.
Lauren B took part in a group date; during the date, women took part in a live talent show as part of Terry Fators opening act, and Lauren B juggled.
Clearly, Ben still likes Lauren B.
In the end, Amber and Rachel were sent home. Stay tuned.
