(Note: The Tribune will highlight arts happenings to coincide with First Thursday — this month, it’s Thursday, Dec. 3.)

• The 11th annual da Vinci Arts Fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at da Vinci Arts Middle School, 2508 N.E. Everett St. It includes boutique arts and crafts by more than 70 juried local artists and student work. It’s free to attend.

• Charles A. Hartman Fine Art, 134 N.W. Eighth Ave., presents its “Winter Group: Several Excellent Paintings and Photographs” exhibit, starting at 5 p.m. First Thursday and going through Jan. 30. For info: www.hartmanfineart.net.

• The “Project p:ear” group exhibit is a benefit show featuring more than 50 artists, with 20 percent of the proceeds going to support the nonprofit p:ear, which mentors homeless youth. It’s done in collaboration with Stephane Chefas Projects. It opens at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, and goes through Dec. 31 at Stephanie Chefas Projects at the Urban Row Building, 305 S.E. • “Zero,” a community-building project by Japanese artist Katsushige Nakahashi, transforms the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Art Gallery into a working studio. It’s located at Reed College, 3203 S.E. Woodstock Blvd. For info: www.reed.edu/gallery.
