Oregon Symphony: Evans

The symphony, conducted by resident conductor Paul Ghun Kim, makes its first foray into country music by playing with Sara Evans, who blends neotraditional country with the slick pop-country style of commercial Nashville.

PDX Youth Philharmonic

The group opens its 92nd season with its fall concert. Directed by David Hattner, it’ll feature pianist Nathan Kim of Newberg, 15. The concert will include Mason Bates’ “Warehouse Medicine” from “The B-Sides,” as well as Sergei Prokofiev’s “Piano Concerto No. 1” (by Kim) and Jean Sebelius’ “Symphony No. 1.”

‘Late Night Action’

David Giuntoli, star of “Grimm,” joins David Saffert (who plays Liberace) and comedian Phil Schallberger in the monthly talk show hosted by Alex Falcone and Bri Pruett. Last month, Giuntoli’s “Grimm” co-star, Silas Weir Mitchell, appeared on the show.

White Bird: Ballet BC

The company, under the direction of Emily Molnar and featuring 14 dancers, returns to Portland with a 30th anniversary program by choreographers Crystal Pite (“Solo Echo”), Stijn Celis (“Awe”) and Cayetano Soto (“Twenty Eight Thousand Waves”).

NW Food and Wine Festival

The festival celebrates 10 years with another night of quality cuisine and several selections of wines, spirits and beers. Fashion and Style Awards

The annual show will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Portland Art Museum, 1219 S.W. Park Ave. Notable guests will include actors Sasha Roiz and Daniel Baldwin, the mayor’s wife Nancy Hales, and “Project Runway” Season 11 winner Michelle Lesniak.
