Winning big

Alison Croll of Portland won some big-time money on “Wheel of Fortune,” in a show that was scheduled to air Wednesday. She won $74,700 in cash and prizes, including a trip to St. Croix. She competed during the show’s “Weekend Getaways” week.

Croll is a health coach who enjoys jogging, cooking and spending time with her son; she wants to use the winnings to help buy a home for her family.

She qualifiied for the show through the “Wheelmobile” in Lincoln City.

New home

Joining the likes of Oregon Ballet Theatre and Polaris Dance Theatre, Conduit Dance has also found a new space, and it opened this week and expects to start classes soon. The new location: The Ford Building, 2505 S.E. 11th Ave., No. 120, in Portland. For more: conduit.pdx.org.

‘Cuba Libre’ extended

Due to robust ticket sales, Artists Repertory Theatre has extended the run of the world premiere musical “Cuba Libre,” featuring Grammy-nominated band Tiempo Libre, through Nov. 15 — a week extension. It starts Oct. 10 at Winningstad Theatre, directed by Damaso Rodriguez, Artists Rep aristic director. Tickets are $46 to

Reel Rock 10

The 10th anniversary show of Reel Rock — movies about climbing — will be coming to Portland, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Revolution Hall, 1300 S.E. Stark St. Tickets are $20 and sold online at revolutionhallpdx.com.

The tour will celebrate a special year in which there was a historic free ascent of the Dawn Wall and the passing of free climber Dean Potter at Yosemite National Park, as well as the increase in popularity of climbing gyms and climbers.

Last year’s tour included a documentary movie, “Valley Uprising,” about how people drop out of society and take up rock climbing at Yosemite.

“Something To Talk About: A Portland Bonnie Raitt Tribute” features several of Portland’s top musicians and singers performing Raitt songs.

Beatles tribute

The musical retelling of The Beatles story through the eyes of manager Brian Epstein (who died in 1967) returns to Portland: “In My Life — A Musical Theatre Tribute to the Beatles.”
