COURTESY PHOTO - A limited edition first generation cast of the only sculpture known to exist from the hand of Leonardo da Vinci is coming to Fenske Galleries in Troutdale, Oct. 1-4.• A collection of original and hand-signed work by Matisse, Picasso, Salvadore Dali, Andy Warhol, Basquiat and others — the “Masters Collection” — will accompany the display of the only known sculpture by Leonardo da Vinci, “Horse and Rider,” Friday through Sunday, Oct. 2-4, at Fenske Galleries, 255 E. Columbia River Highway in Troutdale. They are coming to Gary Fenske’s gallery via art appraiser Brett Maly from a Las Vegas fine art gallery called Art encounter; he’s the official art expert for The History Channel. And, the owner of the original mold and bronze sculpture, J.W. Petty, will accompany the da Vinci sculpture to Troutdale. Only 398 of them exist, and three of them will be on display at Fenske and for sale, along with the other works from the “Masters Collection.” For more: www.FenskeGalleries.com.

• Waterstone Gallery has moved to 124 N.W. Ninth Ave., and its next show, “Earth Works,” featuring large-scale landscape paintings by Sue-Del McCulloch and stone sculptures by Stuart Jacobson, opens at 6 p.m. First Thursday and goes through Nov. 1. For info: www.waterstonegallery.com.

• Laura Russo Gallery, 805 N.W. 21st Ave., features new work by Eric Stotik and James Allen’s “Book Excavations,” the latter a collection of stories from tomes into which he has meticulously carved, creating fascinating sculptural reliefs from a two-dimensional form, the gallery says. It opens at 5 p.m. First Thursday and stays through Oct. 31 (www.laurarusso.com).

• There is something quite striking — and enjoyable/humorous — about seeing Jim Griswold’s print “Beer Hall Putsch Hitler,” one of many of his works on display at Augen Gallery, 716 N.W. Davis St., starting 5 p.m. First Thursday and going through Oct. 31. For more (and to see Hitler in a different way): www.augengallery.com.

• The Zymoglyphic Museum & Bathtub Art Museum, 211 S.E. Madison St., will have new exhibits with the theme of “Oddly Curious” — including Zymoglyphic with “Leatherface” and Bathtub with postcards “Robot World” and “Bathtub Buggy.” It opens at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, and goes through the October (www.hiddenportland.com).
